Self Reflection on Racism Project
I got to research more about the topic about law enforcement and racism. I learned so much new facts about this topic like how the system only does things to protect themselves and don't do things for the wellbeing of others and also how more black Americans are likely to be killed these both things are so unfair because if they system is corrupt they are setting a bad example for all individuals and black Americans are only really getting killed because of their skin colour which is even more disturbing. I feel me and my group did a good job of explaining all the different aspects of this topic because it can be a really difficult to explain racism because it's such heart touching and hard topic to touch base with. I think Aman was really good at leading and organizing our group together I feel like I should have looked less on my phone and more towards the audiene when I presented and overall I think me and my group members did an amazing job.

Doll Case Study
After watching the doll case study I feel really overwhelmed and shocked. I never thought that children would have such a view on the different colours of people. As I was watching the video I was wondering where the children had established these negative thoughts from. Personally I feel I don't really have any negative attitudes and stereotypes towards any people because I feel that everyone is the same. Nobody should be left out of an activity because of their colour and the culture they come from.Throughout elementary and high school I have made many different friends all from different races and cultural backgrounds. I feel that people hold negative attitudes and stereotypes towards the different races of people because that's what they are taught from family and friends and also sometimes in media tv shows. Like for example they think black means bad and that white means good and because they learn that from a young age they end up thinking like that until they are older and will never come out of that zone.
I feel that people acquire these views in many different ways including from family friends and media like I mentioned in my last paragraph. The society is affected when such views are held by a large number people because everyone just ends up following what the society says about certain issues. Like for example when you have a bunch of friends and all those friends don't like a certain group of people you obviously won' t like them either. I mean we all may say we have our own views about different issues. But in the end we usually don't want to be standing all alone it seems better and easier to follow what other people have to say.
